It’s always a challenge, when it comes to providing quality dental care to children with innate/trait fear and anxiety; or in those with an unpleasant past dental experience irrespective of age. We all are aware about the psychosomatic stress that a dental procedure may cause if not done rightly especially at an early age. Through; the continuum we wish to highlight how besides the basic behavior management techniques, various routes of moderate sedation can best be used in practice. A stepwise approach to the choice of inhalation; oral, nasal or intravenous sedative and pediatric dental GA shall be highlighted.
